How To Groom A Leonberger
In Eight Easy Steps…
Step Number One: Feel Guilty
You feel guilty because you have not brushed your Leonberger in a while.
Step Number Two: Talk About Grooming
You have this conversation in your own mind, and then, aloud to the other members of your household.
Step Number Three: Threaten Members of Your Household
You threaten the members of your household that they cannot go play pickleball until the Leonberger is groomed.
Step Number Four: Bribe Yourself
You make a special trip to the local general store to purchase a special drink for yourself to enjoy while grooming.
Step Number Five: Command All Hands on Deck
You make sure every member of the household is participating. Whether it is simply handing the needed grooming tool momentarily needed, or sweeping hair off the deck, or running to go look for the missing grooming tool that was supposed to be in the grooming bag, but is no longer.
Step Number Six: Command Everyone To Leave
You now realize that you work better alone, and in the hopes of saying nothing significantly damaging to the other members of your household, you tell them to go away.
Step Number Seven: Take a Moment to Reconsider Your Life’s Choices
You do this while sipping on your ice-cold drink.
Step Number Eight: Call A Professional Groomer.
Her name is Sarah.
